Here is your assignment:
On your own blog, write a new post. Title it: Me, as an Emerging Reader.
In your post, take some time to think and write about your past as a reader. Consider some of the following questions as you write a few big juicy paragraphs on your own blog.
- What is the first thing you remember reading all by yourself?
- What was your favorite thing to read when you were really young?
- What was the first chapter book you really read, understood, and finished?
- Where is the best place you've ever spent time reading? What made it great?
- What is best thing anyone has ever read to you? Why was it the best?
- What is your favorite memory related to reading?
- What is one thing you really want to read, even though you know it is still too difficult?
- If you could give a kindergarten student some advice about reading, what would you tell them?
Once you've really thought about these questions and written your post, take some time to comment on the work of your classmates.
